Reigns vs Lesnar for Universal title official for Day One PPV

The second match for the Day One WWE pay-per-view next month was made official on Smackdown with the Universal title on the line as Roman Reigns defends against Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar, who returned on Smackdown last night, forced Sami Zayn to take his shot at the title during the show after Zayn informed Lesnar that he’s cashing in at the Day One pay-per-view. But the beast didn’t want to hear any of that and Zayn reluctantly agreed to face Reigns in the main event with the winner facing Lesnar on the pay-per-view.

Before the match started, Zayn thanked Lesnar and informed him that it would be wise if he’s in his corner as he would have a better shot at beating him rather than Reigns, noting Lesnar’s bad record against The Tribal Chief. That comment didn’t go down well with Brock and Zayn got his ass handed to him with several German suplexes and F5s.

After the beating, Roman Reigns came out and defeated Sami Zayn in around 15 seconds, hitting the spear and the guillotine to end Sami’s horrible night.
