Report: WWE and Mercedes Mone no longer in negotiations for return

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling is reporting that WWE is no longer in negotiations with Mercedes Mone regarding a return to the company after both sides failed to come to an agreement on a new deal while a source suggested that she is set to show up somewhere else “imminently.”

Mone was reportedly asking for a lot of money, way more than what WWE paid Charlotte Flair in her latest deal which was one of the largest contracts for a female star.

She has recently been posting a lot of WWE-related stories on her Instagram, including a latest one which showed her in front of a poster featuring Triple H. She is known for top-level trolling on the Internet and all the very obvious signs suggested that she would not be making a comeback.

Mone last appeared on television at the All In pay-per-view in London where she was shown sitting in the crowd. At the time, she and AEW were also in talks but last month there was another report which said all plans were put on hold.

AEW has the Worlds End pay-per-view tonight so we will know soon if that “imminent” is regarding to AEW.

Mone, as Sasha Banks, walked out of WWE along with Naomi, in May 2022. Naomi went on to join TNA Wrestling while she wrestled for New Japan and Stardom.
