Rey Mysterio officially announced as the WWE 2K19 pre-order bonus character

Former World Heavyweight champion Rey Mysterio has been officially confirmed as the WWE 2K19 pre-order bonus character.

The commercial to announce his involvement in the game features Daniel Bryan, Jeff Hardy, The Miz, Bobby Roode, Asuka, Lashley, Charlotte Flair, and AJ Styles, who each take off a Rey Mysterio mask while describing him with one word: underdog, daredevil, pest, glorious, respect, hero, tradition, and phenomenal.

After Styles delivers his line, the next one is Mysterio, who takes off the mask…to reveal another mask as he says “back!”

Typically, the WWE 2K19 pre-order bonus Superstars end up returning to WWE for real as it happened before with Brock, Warrior, Goldberg, and Angle. Mysterio has said over the past few weeks that he’s training for a WWE return. This year, Mysterio already appeared on WWE television twice, at the Royal Rumble and then at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Jeddah.

You can see the commercial below.
