Rhea Ripley reveals why she cried at the start of WrestleMania 37

New Raw Women’s champion Rhea Ripley revealed why she teared up during the singing of America The Beautiful at the start of WrestleMania when everyone was on stage with WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon.

Ripley told TVInsider.com that walking through the curtain and seeing the crowd and how excited they were she realized that all her dreams were coming true.

“I was trying to hold it all together, telling myself, ‘Don’t cry.’ Then I looked over to Edge near me, and he had tears in his eyes,” Rhea said. “He nodded at me and winked. I just lost it. I could not hold it together.”

She then said a fan close to the stage told her that “you got this” and that she was going to kill it, giving her a pep talk!

“Next thing I know, I’m being shown on the big screen,” she continued.
