In a post on Twitter, WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon announced that Roman Reigns will be returning to Raw on Monday to address the status of his battle with leukemia. This will be his first WWE televised appearance in four months.
“@WWERomanReigns (aka Joe Anoa’i) will address the status of his fight with leukemia this Monday on Raw. #fighter #proud #classy,” wrote McMahon.
Reigns surrendered the Universal title on the October 22, 2018 episode of Raw and revealed that leukemia, which has been in remission for 11 years, returned. WWE fans, who usually like to boo Reigns out of the building, changed their tune and during an emotional speech, gave the former champ all the respect.
Since leaving the WWE screens, Reigns did filming with his cousin Dwayne Johnson on the movie Hobbs & Shaw and is also doing a guest starring role in Nickelodeon’s Cousins for Life show which airs on March 2.
His appearance adds to an already-packed show with a huge birthday party being thrown for Ric Flair who turns 70 on Monday as well.
