Ronda Rousey back with WWE for the year

Dave Meltzer of the Observer reported today that Ronda Rousey is definitely back with WWE at least for the next year and she’s in St. Louis for the Royal Rumble, although her participation in the show is not confirmed.

But the former Raw Women’s champion is locked with the company moving forward, with Meltzer saying she’s going to be a regular on Smackdown and will do some Raw shows as well. “The only thing I know is that she will not be wrestling Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania,” Meltzer said, adding that the probability is going to be Lynch vs Rousey one-on-one.

Rousey lost the Raw Women’s title to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 35 with a dubious pin and the feud between the two had been brewing for a while. Rousey left WWE immediately following WrestleMania to have a family and gave birth to a daughter last September.

UPDATE: Meltzer updated his story saying plans have changed and the direction is now Rousey vs Flair for this year’s WrestleMania.
