Rousey and Baszler become the unified WWE Women’s Tag Team champions

Not that the result was ever in any doubt, but Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler defeated Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre last night on Smackdown to become the unified WWE Women’s Tag Team champions.

The loss for Dawn and Fyre effectively ends their reign as NXT Women’s Tag Team champions at 83 days, having won them at the Stand & Deliver show in Los Angeles on April 1. The NXT Women’s Tag Team titles are also now retired completely.

Rousey and Baszler are now 26 days into their reign as champions, winning the vacant titles on the May 29 episode of Raw. This is Rousey’s first run with these titles and Baszler’s third, having won it twice with Nia Jax previously.
