Rusev returning on Smackdown next week

Former United States champion Rusev will return on WWE television next week and will be on Smackdown live for the first time since the brand split.

Rusev, along with Lana, was drafted to Smackdown the week after WrestleMania during the Superstar Shake-up however he has been injured since February. Rusev made his first TV appearance since his injury during the end of April, appearing in a promo saying that he will not make his debut on Smackdown unless he’s given a WWE title match at Money In The Bank next month.

His demand, made to Smackdown Commissioner Shane McMahon, went unanswered and Rusev has threatened to go back home to Bulgaria if he doesn’t get an answer.

“I don’t like being ignored, that’s more disrespectful than turning me down,” Rusev said in his latest video. “I want an answer, and I’ll get one when I come to Smackdown Live next week,” Rusev concluded.
