Samoa Joe says there’s no timetable for his in-ring return

Speaking to Sportskeeda, Raw color commentator Samoa Joe said that there is no timetable for his in-ring return and the WWE medical team is making sure he is healthy enough before he steps back in the ring.

After a concussion last year followed by another injury again while filming a commercial for WWE, Joe has put his in-ring career on hold and is now concentrating on his job as part of a three-man broadcast booth every Monday night.

“As far as the timetable, no. But I just want to reassure people that you know this point, WWE medical is doing the best for my health and my well-being, and I’m appreciative of it, so we’re taking our time,” Joe said.

Joe said that the specific injury he has is not something that you want to rush “for obvious reasons” so the medical team is taking care of him.

The 41-year-old added that he doesn’t think his wrestling career is over by a long-shot but he’s appreciative of the recovery time and that his health is being respected at a premium.

Samoa Joe last wrestled on television on the February 10, 2020 episode of Monday Night Raw, teaming up with Kevin Owens and The Viking Raiders to take on Seth Rollins, Murphy, and The AOP in an eight-man tag team match.
