Saturday Night’s Main Event shows hitting the WWE Network

Saturday Night’s Main Event shows has started showing up on the WWE Network in time for the free week trial for new potential customers.

So far 13 episodes have been uploaded from 1985, 1986, and 1987, with the first episode dating back from May 11, 1985.

The series had a run from May 1985 to November 1992 and then came back in March 2006 till March 2008 with episodes running on NBC.

Friday night prime time specials, known as The Main Event, also came around thanks to the success of SNME and in February 1988 there was a WrestleMania III rematch between Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant which drew 33 million viewers and a 15.2 rating, the highest rated pro wrestling show in American professional wrestling history.

All Saturday Night’s Main Event shows on the WWE Network are available in the Vault section.
