Simon Gotch of The Vaudevillains released

The tag team The Vaudevillains are no more as Simon Gotch was released by WWE effective immediately.

“WWE has come to terms on a mutually agreed upon release with Simon Gotch as of today, April 5, 2017. WWE wishes Gotch the best in all his future endeavors,” read a short statement on WWE.COM.

The 34-year-old New Jersey native signed his WWE developmental deal in 2013 and a year later joined Aiden English to form The Vaudevillians. The two made their main roster debut last year after WrestleMania and then moved to Smackdown as part of the draft.

The duo won the NXT Tag Team title once during their run there. It’s not known what will happen to English following the release of his tag team partner. English is married to the daughter of Eddie and Vickie Guerrero, Shaul, who herself is a former NXT developmental star.
