Smackdown ring announcer Eden Stiles leaves WWE

Brandi Rhodes, the WWE ring announcer who used the name of Eden Stiles, has followed her husband’s footsteps and left WWE.

“What I’ve been teasing for weeks: I’ve been offered a new opportunity outside of WWE! So I’ve decided to part w/ WWE after tonight,” she wrote yesterday on Twitter. Her departure came two days after Cody was given his release on Sunday following his wish. Brandi said that now she will be doing things her way.

She had been working for WWE since March 2011 when she signed a developmental deal.  Following a stint in FCW and then NXT, she requested her release from the company a year later and then returned in February 2014. In October of the same year she started doing announcing and backstage interview jobs for Smackdown and Main Event and eventually became the permanent Smackdown ring announcer.
