Smackdown to air on FS1 on December 18 due to college football

Smackdown is being pre-empted from FOX for the second time this year and will be airing on FS1 next Friday.

The change was announced on Smackdown yesterday, with the December 18 episode airing in its usual time slot of 8PM but on FOX Sports 1 instead. The Pac-12 Football Championship Game will be airing on FOX in place of Smackdown.

Ever since Smackdown moved to FOX, the network pre-empted Smackdown twice before due to MLB, and on both occasions the show did just around 880,000 viewers, down considerably from the usual two million plus viewers the show does every Friday.
