After a recap of what happened at Backlash, Nick Aldis starts off in the ring as he introduces the Undisputed WWE champion, The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes. Nick said he determined Cody’s next opponent and introduces The United States champion Logan Paul.

After Logan talked, Cody said he stands across the ring with a dumbass. Cody said if he were to win the United States championship, he would be then a Grand Slam Champion. He then called Logan, disrespectful.

Cody says it’s not about either of them, it’s a team and at the King & Queen of the Ring, he will find out where he stands on that team.

Kayla Braxton interviewed AJ Styles. AJ said it should be him facing Logan Paul and says he will take his first step tonight in facing Cody again after he wins King of the ring.

Naomi VS. Nia Jax in round one of the Queen of the Ring Tournament

Nia hit Naomi with the annihilator to the win.

Byron Saxton interviewed Baron Corbin. Carmelo Hayes comes in and asked when he got drafted and Baron went to give Carmelo some advice and Carmelo says no, I will give you some advice I will run circles around you tonight.

Baron Corbin VS. Carmelo Hayes in round one of the King of the Ring Tournament

Hayes rolled Corbin up after several offensive moves by Corbin and held him down for the three count.

Winner: Carmelo Hayes

Kayla interviewed Bayley and she Kayla asked if she had a favorite and Bayley said she is interested in seeing how far Jade Cargill will go in the tournament and Chelsea Green and Piper Niven come in and Chelsea says Piper is going to end Jade’s tournament tonight.

Byron Saxton interviewed Randy Orton and said Randy is a favorite to win the tournament and he has another possible favorite in AJ Styles to face tonight. Randy then warned Tama Tonga that he will see an RKO coming for taking out his friend and tag team partner Kevin Owens last week.

Jade Cargill VS. Piper Niven in round one of the Queen of the Ring Tournament

Jade was able to hit Jaded on Piper and gets the win.

Bianca Belair VS. Candace LeRae in round one of the Queen of the Ring Tournament

Bianca hit the KOD to get the win.

The Bloodline is shown in the locker room and Paul Heyman comes in and asks if he could have a moment alone with Solo and he says he is Roman’s Wiseman. Solo tells Heyman he has talked to Roman, and he is in charge of the Bloodline until Roman comes back and Paul is now his Wiseman and tells him he loves him and hugs him and gives a look to Tama and Loa as he hugged Paul.

Angelo Dawkins VS. Tama Tonga in round one of the King of the Ring Tournament

Solo and Loa had Ford and Solo hit him with the Samoan Spike and Tama hit the distracted Angelo with a front face drop maneuver and Tama gets the win.

Winner: Tama Tonga

AJ Styles VS. Randy Orton in round one of the King of the Ring Tournament

Randy was able to hit the RKO and get the win.
