Smackdown TV report for 10/13/2023

Arena: BOK Center
City: Tulsa, OK

John Cena opens the season premiere of Smackdown. The Tribal Chief immediately interrupts him.

Roman comes out with Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman. Roman tells Cena “If you are going to open my show you better do it the right way” and then says asks Tulsa to acknowledge him. Roman tells Cena to leave or he will make him leave.

Cena tells Roman he is not here to challenge him he is there to acknowledge him. And he is not there to challenge him tonight because he hasn’t earned it, but he knows someone who has, and LA Knight comes out.

Knight starts with let me talk to ya and asked Roman if he is pissing his pants yet. After Roman asked Knight who he was to be standing in the ring with him. Jimmy Uso comes in and attacked Knight until Knight throws him out of the ring.

Knight and Roman argue then Roman leaves the ring. Roman then tells Solo to take Knight and Cena out. Solo backed out of the ring. Knight says it’s going to be him and Solo tonight.

Pretty Deadly VS. The Brawling Brutes

While Prince faked being injured and had the referee’s attention, Wilson kicked Ridge in the face and Prince rolls up Ridge to get the win.

Winners: Pretty Deadly

Kayla Braxton interviewed Carlito. Bobby Lashley comes in and welcomes Carlito back. Carlito challenged Lashley and the Street Profits attacked Carlito.

Adam Pearce is still checking on Carlito and Bayley came in demanding time to throw Iyo Sky a victory celebration and Zelina Vega started yelling at Bayley and Pearce told them to get the ring and deal with this.

Roman and Jimmy Uso are talking in the locker room. Roman tells Jimmy, Jey is old news and the only thing that matters is getting those tag belts off him and Cody.

Bayley VS. Zelina Vega

Bayley scores the win after the Rose Plant.

Winner: Bayley

After the match, Bayley and Iyo Sky continued to beat Zelina and Charlotte Flair ran down to make the save.

Next out to the ring The Game Triple H.  Adam Pearce met him in the ring. As the crowd cheered for him, he said there is a big part of him that misses that. He said Pearce had a great in ring career and he has done an incredible job of doing a thankless job and thanked Pearce for doing such a good job. He said it’s a job no one person should do alone, and he will not be alone anymore, and he is promoting Pearce to General Manger of Monday Night Raw and says there will be a general manager of Smackdown. They get interrupted by Dominik Mysterio who says Fastlane was not a success and the Judgment Day got screwed out of their tag team titles.

Triple H says he cannot hear him with the fans booing him so loudly. He told Dominik he is yelling at the wrong people and introduced the new General Manager of Smackdown Nick Aldis.

As Aldis was shaking hands he said Dom, I am a big fan of your dad. He brought up the trade of Jey Uso to Raw and wants to introduce Smackdown’s newest superstar from Raw. Dominik keeps interrupting him and said he doesn’t care who it is he will slap him in the face, as Kevin Owens’ music hits and it’s Kevin Owens to Smackdown!

Owens gets in the ring and immediately gives Dominik the Stunner.

Roman says Kevin Owens is on my show now. Cody Rhodes is running around with Jey on his show and Jimmy just sitting on my couch drinking my water. Jimmy finally gets up and says he is going to go and says come on Solo. Roman talks with Heyman.

Chelsea Green asked Nick Aldis what he is going to do about people saying her and Piper’s titles are cursed. Charlotte walked in and said he had another meeting. Aldis tells Charlotte she is going one on one with Iyo for the championship. Charlotte turns around and right into Jade Cargill and Triple H tried to introduce them, but Charlotte says oh I know.

Main Event Jey Uso & The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes VS. Grayson Waller & Austin Theory for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships

Cody hit crossroads on Theory to retain the titles.

Winners and still Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions: Main Event Jey Uso & The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes

As Cody and Jey were leaving and shaking hands with the fans, Roman Reigns music came on and Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa stop and stand in their way as Roman comes out and stares down Cody as the two exchange words. Nick Aldis comes out and gets in the middle and says not tonight.

LA Knight VS. Solo Sikoa

While both competitors were down on the mat, Jimmy Uso comes in and goes running at Knight, but Cena catches him and hits an AA. Solo hits Cena with a Samoan Spike and turns right into BFT from Knight who then gets the pinfall victory.

Winner: LA Knight

After the match as Knight celebrated, Roman Reigns spears Knight. Then holds the title over Knight.
