Steve Austin opens Raw after WWE issues media notice about appearance

Yesterday late afternoon WWE issued a media notice announcing that Steve Austin would be appearing on Monday Night Raw after deleting all mentions of him in advertising leading up to the show in Dallas.

Last week Austin denied he was ever appearing even though WWE put him on the graphic and then said he doesn’t know what’s going on. The last graphic on WWE.COM had Austin missing where before he was placed next to Shawn Michaels.

Austin opened Raw to a large ovation from the Dallas crowd and plugged his Stone Cold Podcast on the WWE Network with Brock Lesnar as his guest later on in the night. He then introduced The Undertaker before leaving.

It was Austin’s first appearance inside a WWE ring on Monday Night Raw in four years. He last shared the squared circle with The Rock and Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania XXX.
