Tegan Nox, who was eliminated from the Mae Young Classic tournament in the quarter final due to an injury, detailed the extent of her injuries last night in a post on Twitter.
Nox, who wrestled on the indie circuit as Nixon Newell, said that she dislocated her knee cap, completely tore her ACL and both meniscus, tore the MCL and LCL, suffered from bone contusions and a fractured her left tibia.
The injury occurred when Nox attempted a dive on Rhea Ripley on the outside and landed badly, shattering her leg. Nox tried to continue but eventually realized she couldn’t and the referee stopped the match, awarding the win to her opponent.
She is quite unlucky with this tournament as she was supposed to be a participant in last year’s inaugural tournament but tore her right ACL before the start of the tournament.
Nox wrote that she has a long way to go in rehab but she’s already two months in and “it’s going amazingly” and “right on track and smashing goals already.”
Nox thanked Triple H, the WWE Performance Center coaches, the medical staff, friends, family, and fans for all the support she has received so far.
“It’s going to be a long road to recovery but it’s already started and I plan on making my return special. There’s going to be some changes but they’ll all be for the best! As Triple H said ‘this is just a bump in the road,’ this isn’t the end, trust me,” she concluded.
