The Miz has moved in third position in the longest Intercontinental title reigns chart, surpassing the self-proclaimed greatest IC champion of all time, The Honky Tonk Man.
The current champion and daddy-to-be is at 456 days combined, two more than The Honky Tonk Man. His next target is Don Muraco who currently stands at #2 with 541 days combined over two title reigns.
This is the seventh title reign for The Miz. He won the first one on July 23, 2012 at the Raw 1000 episode by beating Christian. His second win was at WrestleMania 29 on April 7, 2013, defeating Wade Barrett. He then won it again on July 20, 2014 at Battleground in a battle royal for the vacant title. His fourth title reign came on September 21, 2014 at Night of Champions, defeating Dolph Ziggler. Title reign #5 came on April 4, 2016 on the post-WrestleMania Raw defeating Zack Ryder. On November 15, 2016, The Miz won his sixth Intercontinental title from Dolph Ziggler at Smackdown 900 Live and won the last one at Extreme Rules on June 4 of this year from Dean Ambrose.
