The New Day become the longest reigning WWE Tag Team champions

The New Day made history this week, going over 334 days as WWE Tag Team champions, beating the record of 333 days held by Brian Kendrick and Paul London back in 2006/7.

The three-member New Day won the titles from the Prime Time Players at SummerSlam last year, beating the champs, The Lucha Dragons, and Los Matadores in a fatal four-way match. Big E and Kofi Kingston wrestled in that particular match but The New Day uses the Freebird Rule so even Xavier Woods gets to share the accomplishment.

Rounding up the top 5 of the longest WWE tag team champs apart from The New Day and Kendrick and London are The Colóns at 275 days, The Miz and John Morrison at 247 Days, and Team Hell No at 245 Days.
