TKO President Mark Shapiro: “Vince McMahon is not coming back to the company”

Speaking at a conference in San Francisco hosted by Morgan Stanley, TKO President Mark Shapiro has doubled down on the fact that Vince McMahon is not coming back to the company.

McMahon was forced to resign from his post as Executive Chairman of the TKO Board of Directors in January when the Janel Grant lawsuit came to light. Shapiro and Endeavor and TKO chief Ari Emanuel made the call to McMahon to ask for his resignation.

“We’re not in conversations with McMahon. We don’t know his motives, his plans or his timeline,” Shapiro said according to a transcript by Deadline.com. “He doesn’t work for the company, doesn’t come into the office and he’s not coming back to the company. And that’s where we sit.”

Shapiro also added that TKO “did not participate in the recent sale” of Vince McMahon’s TKO shares. In a SEC filing on Monday, McMahon noted that he’s selling 5.3 million TKO shares for over $400 million.

McMahon now holds 15 million TKO shares, down from the original 28 million shares.
