Tommaso Ciampa wins the NXT title

Tommaso Ciampa has reclaimed the NXT title on last night’s premiere episode of NXT 2.0 on USA Network, days after Samoa Joe surrendered the title due to an undisclosed injury.

Ciampa won a fatal four-way match against Pete Dunne, LA Knight, and Von Wagner, who replaced Kyle O’Reilly who was attacked backstage by Dunne and Ridge Holland. Ciampa pinned LA Knight – who earlier had lost to Bron Breakker – after delivering the Fairy Tale Ending for the win, reclaiming Goldie.

This is Ciampa’s second run with the NXT title, having previously held it in July 2018. He surrendered the title in March of the following year due to his neck injury.
