Ilja Dragunov’s reign as NXT champion came to an end last night at NXT Spring Breakin’ with Trick Williams crowned the new sheriff in town.
The two main evented the special edition of NXT with Williams winning after hitting the knee strike for the pinfall. Following the hard-hitting match, Dragunov gave Williams the NXT title and the new champion celebrated with the fans.
This was their second match after NXT Stand & Deliver although this match had another stipulation that if Williams failed to win, he would leave NXT.
Dragunov, who spent 206 days as champion, is moving to the main roster with the upcoming Draft this Friday and Monday.
