Triple H and Nick Khan in London for WrestleMania talks with mayor

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque and WWE President Nick Khan, along with other TKO officials, were in London, England yesterday to meet with London Mayor Sadiq Khan.

The focus of the discussion was to bring a major WWE premium live event to the city, more specifically a WrestleMania.

Prior to the election, the mayor said that if he were to be re-elected, he would do everything in his power to bring certain big sporting events to the city, including WrestleMania.

“Delighted to have met with Paul “@TripleH” Levesque and @WWE President Nick Khan to discuss making London WrestleMania’s first international destination,” Mayor Khan said. “The meeting was really productive. Talks will continue about how we could turn our ambition into a reality.”

In interviews with the media, Triple H said that they had a good meeting with the mayor and their goal is WrestleMania in London but there are a lot of factors in play, including the weather which is very unpredictable. There are no covered stadiums in England, which complicates the situation.

At last year’s Money In The Bank in London, John Cena came out to hype up the crowd and said he was there to try and make WrestleMania in London a reality, a statement which blew the roof off the O2 Arena.

WrestleMania has never been held outside of North America.
