Velveteen Dream gets one final shot at Cole’s NXT title

The NXT title will be defended at Takeover: In Your House as the longest reigning NXT champion ever Adam Cole goes one-on-one against Velveteen Dream again but this time, there’s an added stipulation.

Last night on NXT on USA Network, Cole “negotiated” with GM William Regal over a Zoom meeting and got Regal to agree that if Dream does not win the title at Takeover, he would never wrestle for the title again as long as Cole remains the NXT champion.

Dream and Cole already wrestled for the title on NXT a few weeks ago but Dream was unsuccessful in winning the big one.

The bigger story here is that Adam Cole’s contract will be expiring in a few months and there are rumors that he has not signed a new deal yet.
