Velveteen Dream gone from WWE

After several allegations of inappropriate behavior, WWE has finally released Velveteen Dream from his contract.

The 25-year-old, whose real name is Patrick Clark, was hired after he participated in the Tough Enough series several years ago and then transitioned to the current gimmick on the black and yellow brand.

But Dream was rocked by the #SpeakingOut movement in the Summer of last year and a couple of individuals came out accusing the former NXT North American champion courting young, underage boys. Screenshots of direct messages between Dream and his accusers were shared, including a naked photo. Before #SpeakingOut, there were other similar accusations but WWE never acted on them.

During several conference calls with the media, Triple H always refused to discuss details and played down the seriousness of the allegations saying that there was nothing to them.

Dream has not been seen on NXT television for several months, with his last match coming in December of last year.
