Velveteen Dream wins the Worlds Collide Tournament

The Worlds Collide Tournament which was taped over the Royal Rumble Axxess weekend aired yesterday on the WWE Network with NXT star Velveteen Dream winning it all.

The participants of this tournament were Adam Cole, Velveteen Dream, Dominik Dijakovic, Keith Lee and Shane Thorne representing NXT, Mark Andrews, Tyler Bate, Travis Banks, Jordan Devlin, and Zack Gibson representing NXT UK, and Cedric Alexander, Tony Nese, Drew Gulak, TJP, and Humberto Carrillo representing 205 Live.

Jordan Devlin won the 15-man battle royal so he got a bye to the second round automatically. The results of the rest of the tournament are as follows:

FIRST ROUND: Drew Gulak defeated Mark Andrews; Humberto Carrillo defeated Zack Gibson; Velveteen Dream defeated Tony Nese; Adam Cole defeated Shane Thorne; Keith Lee defeated Travis Banks; Dominik Dijakovic defeated TJP; Tyler Bate defeated Cedric Alexander.

QUARTER FINALS: Jordan Devlin defeated Drew Gulak; Velveteen Dream defeated Humberto Carrillo; Adam Cole defeated Keith Lee; Tyler Bate defeated Dominik Dijakovic.

SEMI FINALS AND FINAL: Velveteen Dream defeated Jordan Devlin; Tyler Bate defeated Adam Cole. Velveteen Dream defeated Tyler Bate to win the tournament.

Dream will now receive a title shot of his choosing for either the United Kingdom or NXT title. Since he’s over 205lbs, he is ineligible to challenge for the Cruiserweight title.
