Video hyping the return of Eva Marie airs on Raw

She’s baaaack!

A video promoting the return of Eva Marie aired on Monday Night Raw yesterday. Marie has not been see on WWE TV in almost four years.

“I want to be someone others look up to, I want to influence others to go after their own ambitions like I did,” she says in the video. “So I am back where my journey started. This is Eva-lution!”

Eva Marie originally joined WWE in 2013 and was put in the spotlight immediately by being cast on the first season of Total Divas. With zero training, she was quickly thrown into the main roster, a run which was a disaster due to her lack of wrestling background.

After a year in NXT between 2015 and 2016, Eva Marie was recalled to the main roster and had a gimmick where she faked multiple events to avoid getting back in the ring. She received a suspension of 30 days after failing a Wellness Program test in August just before SummerSlam and never returned to the ring.

She was released from WWE in August 2017 and since then she kept busy by launching NEM Fashion, NEM Fit, and acting. She last stepped into a WWE ring on July 7, 2017 in a losing effort against Becky Lynch at a non-televised live event.
