Vince McMahon forces change in WWE production for live TV

Multiple industry insiders are reporting that WWE will not have any more in-ring action during commercial breaks at television tapings.

Those who attend live TV tapings may notice a few less commercials while they’re in the arena especially during matches. That’s because when TV viewers at home are watching commercials, the action in the ring continues.

But that is about to change as the latest order from WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon is to end all matches from transitioning into multiple segments. Unless there’s a two-out-of-three falls match where each fall can go in a different segment, all matches will now end before going to commercials. This new style was adopted last week on Raw and will continue going forward.

This new way of format will obviously shorten most matches unless they are multiple falls.
