Will this be the first Undertaker-free WrestleMania since 2000?

This year’s WrestleMania is the first WrestleMania since WrestleMania 16 which does not have an officially-advertised match for The Undertaker.

Last year, The Undertaker did not even appear once for his build-up against John Cena and while Cena called out Taker every week, Taker was nowhere to be seen. The match was teased up until during the show and eventually it did happen although it was a very quick one.

However, this year, Taker’s name was not even brought up once during the build for WrestleMania 35 and it remains unclear if he will even make an appearance. It was in 2000 that Taker last missed a WrestleMania and that was due to an injury.

The Undertaker holds the record for the most WrestleMania appearances and wins, with a record of 24-2, with the two losses coming against Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.
