WWE today announced the full pay-per-view schedule for 2022 with a new record for the most stadium events in a year.
There are nine PPVs moving forward for next year, three of which are not named yet. WrestleMania is a two-night event once again. February and October are listed as announced “in the near future” and might be Saudi events. There are no pay-per-views listed for March, August, or December, and the United Kingdom will miss out on SummerSlam yet again.
The calendar starts on January 1 with Day 1 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The Royal Rumble follows on Saturday, January 29 at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
The two-day WrestleMania is at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3.
An unnamed pay-per-view will take place on Sunday, May 8 at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island, and on Sunday, June 5, another unnamed pay-per-view at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
Money In The Bank comes to the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, July 2 and SummerSlam will follow on Saturday, July 30 from the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. This means two back-to-back PPVs inside a stadium within the span of a month.
A location still to be determined will host either a Saturday, September 3 or Sunday, September 4 pay-per-view. There will be no October show, with another Saudi show possibly taking its place, and then the last show of the year will be the Survivor Series on Saturday, November 26 at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
“Since returning to live events this past July, our fans have graciously expressed a tremendous appetite to attend WWE shows. As they begin to make plans for next year, we wanted to make sure that the 2022 schedule and locations of our pay-per-views was made available to them,” said Nick Khan, WWE President & Chief Revenue Officer.
