WWE announces launch of NXT Europe in 2023

WWE today announced in a press release that it will launch the all-new NXT Europe in 2023.

“Following the success of our live events and talent identification efforts throughout all of Europe, we believe this is the perfect time to expand NXT beyond the UK,” said Shawn Michaels, WWE Vice President of Talent Development Creative.

WWE has put a halt on television tapings of NXT UK in the country for the time being and several of its talent has been moved to the United States.

For now, NXT UK will go on a hiatus according to Shawn Michaels, who told FOX News that WWE will work with the staff and talent of NXT UK to launch NXT Europe.

“As we move things over here in the process, we’ll make all those decisions in 2023 about who’s a part of NXT Europe and who continues to stay here in NXT in hopes of getting a main roster call up,” he said about those who are contracted to NXT UK.
