WWE denies choosing Minneapolis as a host of WrestleMania

In a reaction to the announcement by an EVP of the Minnesota Vikings Stadium regarding WrestleMania, WWE did acknowledge that Minneapolis is in the running to host a WrestleMania however it denied that it has chosen the city as a host so far.

“Minneapolis is one of the many cities that has expressed an interest in hosting a future WrestleMania. Beyond WrestleMania in Dallas, TX on April 3, 2016, locations for future WrestleMania’s have not been announced,” said a WWE statement.

The city of Minneapolis submitted a bid to host WrestleMania 33 in 2017 at the brand new US Bank Stadium, a $1 billion facility that will hold over 70,000 fans.
