WWE files trademark application for popular GCW event name The Collective

WWE has applied to trademark the name The Collective with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, a name used for events by Game Changer Wrestling.

The name represents GCW’s WrestleMania weekend events where GCW teams up with other independent promotions for several shows, giving the thousands of wrestling fans in the city some alternatives to WWE events.

Filed on December 15, 2020 by WWE, the trademark was applied under the wrestling exhibitions and performances section.

Game Changer Wrestling owner Brett Lauderdale reacted to the story on Twitter, writing, “Everything is gonna be ok.”
