WWE issues statement after 2-year-old dies from wrestling moves

A 2-year-old toddler died from injuries after her mother’s boyfriend performed several wrestling moves on her, including a Batista Bomb.

WWE issued a statement to distance themselves from the story after several news outlets picked it up. “We are deeply saddened by this tragic death and hope that the guilty parties are brought to justice. There is no excuse or justification for the brutal and ultimately fatal beating of a 2-year-old child by a grown man. This is a clear case of criminal intent and a lack of parental supervision,” a WWE statement read.

The girl’s 19-year-old mother is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and her 24-year-old boyfriend is facing a charge of abuse or neglect of a child resulting in a death. The child suffered a seizure after she hit her head on a concrete wall near the bed and died at the hospital.
