Quite a few WWE Superstars and others did not take Conor McGregor’s statement regarding wrestlers being “pussies” very good and bombarded the UFC champ with replies.
“Your [sic] the size of my leg. Shut up,” wrote Roman Reigns. Kurt Angle called McGregor a “funny little guy” and advised him to get his head out of Dana White’s ass.
WWE Women’s champion Sasha Banks channeled her inner Rocky and told McGregor to “bring it” while Chris Jericho took more the funny side of it. “Sorry pal no disrespect to u, but my fights are legit, unlike the fixed fights u have in the @UFC. I’ll embarrass u,” Jericho wrote. AJ Styles thought McGregor could do well in the featherweight division…if WWE had one.
Rusev also had a word to say. “So much talk for a guy who fights 15 min matches twice a year,” he wrote. “Good for you Conor McGaiver.” Probably the United States champ meant to say MacGyver, the TV character from the show that carries the same name.
16-time world champion Ric Flair did not appreciate McGregor’s comments either. “Coming from a guy who built a career copying my persona, I expected the type of class we get from Ronda or Anderson,” Flair wrote, noting that both Ronda Rousey and Anderson Silva have great respect for those in the WWE. He then continued saying that after Nate Diaz finishes him again at UFC 202, “I dare you to try guys like Dolph, Brock, or Fit [Finlay].”
Taz, to no surprise, chimed in told McGregor that not just the WWE locker room, but any professional wrestling locker room has at least two to three men who would hospitalize him.
But perhaps the best one came from the legend himself, the Iron Sheik, who told McGregor he’s lucky he doesn’t see him because otherwise he’ll break his f*cking neck!
