WWE Network celebrating 15 years of Smackdown this week

The WWE Network will be celebrating 15 years of Smackdown this week as WWE gears up to tape the 15th anniversary episode tomorrow, an episode which will air on SyFy this Friday.

Tonight immediately after Raw, WWE will air the Edge & Christian Smackdown special on the Network, a one hour show on two of the biggest Superstars on Smackdown.

WWE Network will air several different important episodes of Smackdown throughout the week and two of them are already up – the network debut of Smackdown from August 26, 1999, featuring The Rock vs Triple H with Shawn Michaels as the referee, and the April 10, 2003 episode where Roddy Piper brings back Piper’s Pit with Vince McMahon.

Other Smackdown episodes are on the WWE Network schedule and will be available on demand after first airing on the Network.
