WWE Network session at SXSW festival this Sunday

WWE will be represented at the SXSW festival this weekend with the WWE Network taking center stage during a one hour presentation.

WWE Chief Strategy and Financial Officer George Barrios will join MLBAM Senior Vice President Jeffrey Volk and WWE’s Renee Young at the Four Seasons Ballroom AB 98 at San Jacinto Blvd on Sunday, March 15, to talk about the Network and MLB Advanced Media, the company behind the infrastructure of the WWE Network. The session is named “Hit A Home Run with Content Creation and Streaming.“

“These power hitters will explore the technology, operations and management behind direct-to-consumer content delivery and will take a look into what the future may hold for this industry,” the preview of the session reads.

In addition, WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan will make a special guest appearance and will join the conversation to discuss how the evolving media landscape affects his brand.

Last year, Stephanie McMahon was joined by Perkins Miller, who headed the WWE Network at the time, and John Cena at SXSW.
