WWE not cool with The Rock trying to call CM Punk after Raw

Commenting on Twitter about calling CM Punk on the phone after Raw went off the air, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson said that he works off instinct and always listens to the people to try and give them something special.

The Rock said that what he did had “huge positive feedback” from the WWE fans, however, WWE management weren’t thrilled about his post-show shenanigans.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE did not approve of The Rock’s actions and somebody from backstage went down to tell The Rock to “go in another direction.” Johnson, who can afford to piss off WWE many times over, ignored the order and not only did he call Punk and leave a message on his voicemail, but even tried to FaceTime him before giving up.

CM Punk and WWE doctor Chris Amann are currently engaged in a lawsuit after Punk went off on Amann during a Colt Cabana podcast. The lawsuit is still pending to go to trial.
