WWE officially announces the signing of Kana

WWE officially announced the signing of Japanese female wrestler Kanako Urai, better known to fans as Kana, to NXT. Kana will be reporting to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, later this month to start her WWE journey.

“We are very excited to have Kana join the NXT roster,” said Triple H, WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Creative and Live Events. “Her exciting in-ring style will make an immediate impact on the already impressive NXT women’s division.”

The news of the signing of the 33 year old came around two weeks ago following the NXT Takeover: Brooklyn, however it was never officially announced by WWE. She was sitting at ringside at the show and WWE acknowledged her on camera.

“I’ve signed a contract with WWE. Thank you for your support in advance! I’m looking forward to joining the WWE family,” Kana wrote on Twitter earlier today.
