WWE partners with Yahoo! for new video channel

At its Digital Content NewFront presentation held in New York yesterday, Yahoo! and WWE announced a new partnership that will shift a good chunk of WWE’s online video to Yahoo! starting this Summer.

WWE will be producing a 30 minute Monday Night RAW pre-show every week which will air exclusively on Yahoo.com along with two new weekly series of 50 episodes per year.

Apart from the above mentioned, Yahoo! will also have exclusive access to WWE archives of historical full matches, shows, highlights, and other events as well as clips from all WWE television shows and the live pre-show content for every WWE pay-per-view event.

The new partnership with Yahoo! raises questions over WWE’s relationship with YouTube, which is the home to all WWE online shows and where WWE enjoys a large following.

Stephanie McMahon and Big Show were present at yesterday’s Yahoo! event in New York.
