WWE to film series for Indian television tentatively titled NXT India

John Pollock from POST Wrestling and Brandon Thurston from Wrestlenomics are reporting that WWE will be filming a new television series in the beginning of 2021 to cater their large Indian market.

Plans are to film an eight-man, single-elimination tournament which will be tentatively titled NXT India and the show would air on regular television in India as well on the WWE Network. WWE had plans to expand the NXT brand into other countries in 2020 but the coronavirus pandemic brought all plans to a halt.

It’s not known where this series will be filmed yet.

WWE’s broadcast partner in India, Sony Pictures Networks, extended their deal for five years earlier this year.
