WWE trademarks new Takeover name

WWE has filed an application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office to trademark the name NXT Takeover: Stand and Deliver. The news was first reported by the website HeelByNature.com.

The application was filed on March 2 under the goods and services section of entertainment services and the name might refer to the upcoming Takeover set for WrestleMania weekend on Thursday, April 8.

Speaking of that Takeover, there are unconfirmed rumors that the April Takeover will also be a two-night affair, with the first night airing on USA Network in the usual Wednesday time slot and the Thursday broadcast airing on Peacock and WWE Network worldwide. This would be the first two-night Takeover and a good way to sign off from the Wednesday time slot. NXT is heavily rumored to be moving to Tuesday nights after WrestleMania.
