Xavier Woods wins the King of the Ring tournament

There’s a new king who has been knighted in Riyadh and his name is Xavier Woods!

The New Day member beat Finn Balor in the final match of the tournament at Crown Jewel to realize his life-long dream of winning the King of the Ring tournament. Woods had been advocating to bring back the King of the Ring and was rewarded with the win for his efforts.

Woods defeated Ricochet and Jinder Mahal in the quarter and semi final matches while Balor beat Cesaro and Sami Zayn to reach today’s match.

With this win, Woods became the 22nd King of the Ring tournament winner. The last time WWE held the tournament in 2019, Baron Corbin won it.
