Zoey Stark returns on NXT and wins battle royal

Zoey Stark, coming back from an eight-month injury, won the 20-woman battle royal last night on NXT to earn a shot at Mandy Rose and her NXT Women’s title.

She was not originally in the battle royal and was the last one announced as a surprise. Stark ended up in the final two with Cora Jade and quickly got rid of Jade to seal the win.

The 28-year-old has been out of action since the beginning of November 2021 with a torn MCL and meniscus and was taken out with an attack by Toxic Attraction backstage a week after Stark and Io Shirai lost the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles at Halloween Havoc.
